April 2017

Phyllis joined MSM in 1987 and has provided professional, loyal, and dedicated support to MSM customers for 30 years. During that time she experienced many changes in the field of federal background investigations, 5 Presidential administrations, and the fall of the Soviet Union. Phyllis is an expert in all areas of background investigation production and is one of the premier investigation Scopers in the industry.

At Phyllis' farewell ceremony, CEO Steve Cundari said... "...Phyllis has taught dozens of staff members and mentored many other MSM teammates to successful careers. She spent 30 years faithfully working in support of the national security of the United States. We are proud that she chose to support MSM just as faithfully for such a significant period of time, and we have warned Phyllis that we may knock on her door from time to time for a tip here and there! We are going to miss Phyllis very much..."

But Phyllis has plans to travel, and the entire Innoviss MSM team wishes her all the best!

INNOVISS Advances Cyber Security Capabilities

June 2016

Innoviss has achieved DHS Federal Information Security Act (FISMA) IT certifications for corporate networks to operate at a FISMA/National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) "high" level of assurance. This demonstrates Innoviss' commitment to cyber security, information security, and the integrity, assurance, and availability of program data.

The FISMA of 2002 is a federal law that requires an increased security posture for the integrity, assurance, and availability of government agency federal systems, bureaus, departments and their supporting contractors using various NIST technical security controls and risk management protocols. Contractors that provide information systems to agencies must prove they meet FISMA through an assessment of applied NIST IT security controls to their networks showing they meet the overall standards for assurance based on the sensitivity of the work performed. There are 3 standards, Low, Moderate, and High. Once requirements are shown to be met the supported agency IT office provides an "Authority to Operate" (ATO) certification that usually lasts for 3 years, with annual independent verification and validation (IV&V) requirements.

Innoviss can help you demonstrate your compliance with FISMA, assess your compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev4 standards and any applicable Agency controls beyond 800-53, and pursue or maintain an Authority to Operate from a Government Agency based on your FISMA assessment.
